The FDA has approved the Merck quadravalent HPV vaccine Gardasil. It is designed to protect against infection from HPV types 6,11,16 and 18. 
 Its prophylactic design holds promise for prevention of RRP in the future. 
Although it is currently not intended for use with those who are already infected, it is certainly too early to dismiss the possibility of a therapeutic application for this vaccine.
